Adventure Brunch #26 -- September 7, 2019
The iron one sought me out as one should. The iron one summoned me in the old way. I am in the process of moving my lair. It is inconvenient but I must honor the pact of my ancestors unless the iron one is found lacking. I will not lose face among the other flights. An iron one hasn't been seen since the beginning, the war with the giants, and the dragonrage plague. Rumor is that this iron one can make our wyrmlings immune to the dragonrage. I am intrigued, this could change everything! Since my migration I've mostly stayed to myself, bored, doing my recognizance but staying in range should my strengths be needed.
These little mortals sought me out. I assume someone saw me fishing on occasion. They knew not any of my names, they knew not any of my deeds, and yet they sought me out. For what purpose? I am curious, I shall make inquiries about them and their deeds.
I tested them, used my Gabuta persona posing as a simple old man, injured, fragile, and laden with goods. They did not ignore me, they did not try and take my treasures, in fact they healed me, fed me, and sent me on my way. They do not deserve to die, nor do they deserve a reward for doing what was right. They passed my first test, more test to come if the opportunity presents itself. I will hear them out if they have some purpose for seeking me out.
I watched them fight, they seemed lacking I was unexcited. Credit where credit is due they acted earnestly in trying to save the villagers in the sea devils trap but without intervention they would have died eventually. I'd been watching them journey for days;

- The cat man, seems like a skilled tracker. He lead them without error I must mask my scent if he is around. Otherwise he seems to lack conviction or purpose, easy to scare, and distract.
- The dragonborn, is greedy, self concern, but brave the lack of evolution is not unexpected. He could make for a good minion if properly motivated. Simple monetary means will due.
- The elf wyrmling, is cute, bubbly, I bet she would taste like candy. She healed Gabuta without pause. She is a bard. Perhaps she could tell me interesting stories & entertain me. I will keep an eye on her. Information and secrets would turn her.
- The elf wyrm seems brave, seems earnest, and seems awkward. She smells of untapped power, I am curious. She wants something. I will let her fumble, and maybe she will learn to use her skills. If she dies by my hand or another I would like collect her golden eye and her sword for my hoard. No clear vice as far as I can tell thus far.
