Ecology of Faye & Elves

In the beginning before our understanding there was Corellon along with the other primal forces.

Corellon used to be every elven aspect in one but fixed his form into that of a male sun elf warrior when he made Araushnee to his bride. The background of this fixation was to create a perfect balance like his "male warrior" to his wife's "female artist" and so on. Corellon's resides in his own realm along with Angharradh in their own realm in Arvandor on the first layer of Arborea. Elves are born from the spilled blood of Corellon. Unlike any other intelligent being who were made by the gods to worship them and obey their will the elves were not. They are spawned by his blood being shed by Grumsh inspired by the betrayal of Lolth. A such they don’t worship gods but aspire to emulate them in general but with exceptions. With the betrayal of Lolth and various other incidents elven kind was banished from Arvandor. Elves generally strive to regain their place in it once again. They believe in reincarnation with a definitive goal of perfection as their final destination. The ascended ancestors in the Sehanine Courts, are the souls means and guide towards that destination of perfection. Those that ascend beyond their mortal failing are enabled the redemption of the spirit, and may be granted access to the Dream Realm to contemplate further ascension.

The fey, the elves, and various fey creatures can be found in various realms. They are called the Sehanine Courts (see below) and each is dedicated to a season and magical nature. The courts make alliances by lip service, predominantly allied with one another in accordance with the precepts of their magical nature. Others are in constant battle against one another for dominance. The court that ultimately wins gains it’s favored season, new members, thralls, and empowerment. The dominance is however temporary until the others gain in strength and find new champions to do battle again once again. The courts often have border skirmishes, disagreements over land and resources, and have waged war on one another more than a few times throughout their history. Not all elves choose to be involved with this system but they are likely to have to deal with it at some points in their lives like it or not.

Each Court is ruled by four infinitely wise undying beings who, when they die, are reborn and sought out to take their place at the head of the court. They are the Court and the Court is named in their honour. In each Court there is a King, A Queen, a Page and a Champion and whatever their gender, species or disposition, the longer they live the more they become like their archetype. They rule with the absolute authority of the Arcana. The Courts are ruled by those who most typify them, and those ruling attitudes and beliefs trickle down to the people.

Sehanine Courts

The Spring Court - largely resides in the primaterial plane. This court has and will be prominent in the feywild. Those born to it focus on creation, renewal, and the fragile nature of new life. They tend to be very light and life centric in that many of them perceive love, light, goodness, and other positive values as essential in fostering life. Emotions and values that are considered negative (i.e., anger, violence, fear) are often shunned by Spring Fae. While all Fae appreciate nature as they are embodiments of it to some degree, Spring Fae do all they can to foster new growth and to keep insects, plants, trees, and animals from being hurt or killed. They are generally very cheery and optimistic, even in dire circumstances. Spring Fae smell like newness fresh grown grass, & spring flowers. Their coloration tends towards pastels and light, bright tones – rose pink, sapling green, spring sun yellow, robin’s egg blue. The Fae of the Spring court tend to specialize in green and healing magick. Fae of the Spring court can change their gender at dawn and androgyny is common. Also they can become Fall court at dawn by choice. Members of the Spring court can become Summer court by oath of allegiance they can not become Winter court.
Notable members of the Spring Court: Rillifane Rallathil, Tarsellis Meunniduin,

The Summer Court - resides in Demi plane in the Astral and Ephemeral Plane they have recently been taking action in the primaterial plane after an exodus. They have no purchase in the Feywild. The Summer Field of Reeds, are the heavenly paradise where ArchFey, Aziza, and the summer court live. It is placed in the east where the Sun rises, and described as boundless reed fields. This ideal hunting and farming ground allowed the souls here to live for eternity. More precisely, It is also envisaged as a series of islands covered in fields of rushes. The part where it is sometimes known as the "field of offerings". The Fae of the Summer tend to specialize in psionic and radiant magicks. Known as patient and deliberate in most of what they do, they demonstrated an orderly nature uncommon to most Faye.  Preferring to master skills before applying it rather than learning as they go.  The only true exception to this is martial combat, which nearly all Summer Faye and Sun Elves by proxy spsecalize in training in, and when engaged are eager to finish as quickly as possible.  Faye of the Summer court can’t change their gender. The masculine features seem to be more pronounced. They can not change their court at will. Members of the Summer court can become Spring by oath of allegiance and no other court.
Notable members of the Summer Court: Hlal, Ur, Ise,
Champion: The Summer Sentinel, Various Druid Circles, The Sun Elves.

The Fall Court - largely resides in the primaterial plane. Has and will be prominent in the feywild. Some can be found in the shadowfell. Those born to it focus on natural destruction, death, and decay. They are very dark and death-centric; they revel in expressing all of their emotions no matter the ramifications, and they don’t see the point of hanging on to life if death is inevitable or to a way of living that is not useful to oneself. They are sometimes considered weretouched, as many believe that they are the descendants of wood elves and various lycanthropes. They are fae with bestial aspects. They walk on the knife’s edge between the wilds and the world around them. They tend to be somewhat melodramatic and brooding. Fall Fae smell like feral animals, death, fresh mushrooms, or old spilled blood. The Fae of the Fall court tend to specialize in shapeshifting and blood magick; vampiric Fae are more frequently found among the Winter court but there are plenty in the Fall court as well. The Fae of the Fall court can change their gender at dawn and androgyny is common. Also they can choose to become Spring court at dawn. Members of the Fall court can become Winter Court by oath of allegiance they can not become Summer court.

The Winter Court - those born to it focus on statis, hibernation, and the recovery period between death and rebirth. They are somewhat dark- and death-centric; they do not emphasize death over life. The Winter Fae tend to be subtly manipulative, preferring to arrange things in their favor without anyone else noticing. Fae politics are intricate matters as it stands, but they become much more intricate when the Winter court is involved. Winter Fae smell like cold, sleeping life – first frosts, hibernating bear fur, crushed mint. Their coloration tends towards the high contrast tones of winter – snow white, winter wood black, pale sky blue, holly berry red. The Fae of the Winter court tend to specialize in charm/influence magick and glamour. Shadow magick is more readily practiced by the Winter court as well, but it’s far from a specialty.
